PMU Brows

-

-

-
Shower and wash your face/hair beforehand as you will not be able to get your brows wet for the first 24-48 hours
-
Bring a sweater or light blanket to cover yourself as I cannot provide one for you due to hygienic reasons
Post Care:
Healing is 7-14 days. Following proper aftercare is crucial.
Please note the true colour/shape of your tattooed brows can only be determined AFTER it has fully healed. After the healing period your brows, pigment may not have stayed in some areas, and your brows may look uneven, however, you need to come for your touch up at 6 weeks to address this. Healed = brows have fully peeled off, pigment may
After your procedure, do not get your brows wet for the first 24-48 hours (no washing brows, saunas/steam rooms). Do not put makeup or products on the brow area, no vigorous activities (sweating) until they fully peel and heal. Avoid touching, rubbing (except with your cleansing pads), or picking your brows.
Day of your appointment (Day 1):
Brows will be swollen and dark from the procedure, the skin area may be red, and this can last for 24-48 hours. White liquid (plasma) may ooze out of your brows shortly after you leave.
An hour after:
You can wipe your brows gently with the cleansing pads provided to you, do not worry if some fluids/pigment wipe away.
Before bed:
Cleanse your brows with the cleansing pads before bed. Always wash your hands and squeeze out the cleansing pads before wiping the brow area.
Day after your appointment (Day 2):
Cleanse your brows with pads morning and night daily from this point on until the brows are fully healed. If you are oilier or sweat, use a cleansing pad midday. The brows will still dark and quite bold today. This is normal! If the swelling lasts more than a couple days you can take antihistamine. After the 24 hour mark, you can get your brows wet.
If the procedure area (not the brow area) feels dry, flakey, irritated, apply moisturizer, Polysporin, or Cicaplast around the brow area.
Day 3-5:
Your brows will start to scab, flake, and the pigment may seem disappear under the scabs. Do not pick at the stabs off and let them fall off naturally! Your brows may feel dry, but is a good indicator they are healing.

Day 5-7:
Once the brows have flaked off entirely, the pigment will also may have disappeared. As we go through the 14-21 skin cycle the pigment will gradually appear in 2-3 weeks. You can go back to your regular skin care routine, make up, workouts, only past the 7th day if your brows are healed AND your brows have flaked off entirely.
As the tattoo comes back you may notice pigment has not stayed in some areas/hair stokes are not dark enough, these are things we can enhance at your initial touch up. It is better to go lighter and warmer for your first session to see how the skin heals, and adjust as needed at the touch up.
Your healed PMU brows (Day 7+):
Continue regular brow cleansing with your skin care, apply makeup on the brows as usual. Continue regular work outs. Apply sunscreen to area for days of long sun exposure. Harsh products like retinols, glycolic acid, exfoliating products, AHA/BHA, can prematurely fade the brows. Botox, tanning, and facials can be done 2 weeks before or after the PMU service.
